I'm Scott Payne.

I've spent most of my career in sales, technology, and building software companies. For the last 3 years, I've been using AI every day in real business workflows. Not as a side project. Not as something interesting. As something that actually changes how people work.

I'm not a professor. I'm not a researcher. I'm a builder. Everything I teach comes from using AI in real situations where the output matters.

AI Fluent came from something I kept seeing over and over. Smart, capable professionals would try AI... get a generic answer... and quietly stop using it. Nothing broke. It just didn't feel useful. They didn't have a bad experience. They had a cheap one. Because nobody ever showed them how to actually use it.

So I built what I wish existed. Something practical. Something built around real work. Not theory. A system that teaches non-technical professionals how to use AI on the tasks they already do.

Along the way, I started noticing patterns. What works. What doesn't. That turned into two core methods I now teach: the 7-Step Prompt Framework and the Round Table of Experts method. Both came from real usage. Not theory.

AI fluency is the new literacy. Most people don't need to understand how AI works — they need to know how to use it.

That's the mission. Put AI to work on the job you already have. No PhD required.
